About Our Classes
Mommy and Me Make Music classes are designed to promote social, cognitive, and communication skills in a fun and loving environment. Caregivers and children interact through active music making, singing, and dancing. It's a great way for parents to spend quality time with their children in a loving and educational environment.
Music and More Classes (18 mos - 3 years)
This class is for children ages 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers. This is a 45-minute class that uses music, activities, stories, and crafts to support educational themes. Classes acclimate children to circle time and working with others in preparation for preschool. Classes run in 7-week sessions and run continuously throughout the school year. Class limit is 10 children. These classes run in five concurrent sessions throughout the school year. The classes are offered at Monroe Presbyterian Church at 57 East Elm Street in Monroe.
Tikes and Tots Music Class (1-4 yrs)
This class is perfect for siblings because it spans from one to four years of age. Classes and activities are adapted to fit each individual's developmental abilities. Everyone gets something different out of the class. Younger children benefit from older children modeling apporpriate behavior and actions, while older children feel important while assisting their younger peers as well as learning about specific themes. Each class will have a theme that is age-appropriate and educational. All activities are designed to encourage the development of social, cognitive, physical, and language skills. Parents and children play a variety of instruments and engage in finger play songs and circle dances. Books and props (such as scarves, bubbles, and a parachute) are also used to support themes. Class limit is 12 children. Classes are held at The Monroe Presbyterian Church located at 57 West Elm Street.
Mini Music Makers (18 mos-4 years)
This is the name for the Tikes and Tots classed offered at the East Butler County and Atrium YMCAs. Classes begin the week after labor day and are open to members and program members. Click here to see scheduling information
Baby Music Classes (4 - 11 Months)
Our baby classes use baby's instinctive response to music to promote bonding, movement, and language development. Parents and babies learn delightful rhymes, lullabies, floor and lap games, and action songs with instruments. Class limit is 10 children. Classes are held at The Monroe Presbyterian Church located at 57 West Elm Street.
Home Classes
Do you have a playgroup that's interested in having a music class in your house? Jodi will travel to West Chester, Monroe, or Liberty Township for a music session designed specifically for your group. You can choose the length of your music session (i.e. four Mondays). About the Instructor
All classes are taught by Jodi Williams. Jodi is a board-certified music therapist and mother of three small children. Jodi lives in Northern Cincinnati and provides individual music therapy sessions for children with special needs in addition to teaching community-based music groups for infants and toddlers.
Pricing
Tikes and Tots Music Classes are $54 for a 6 week session.
$45 for participating sibling.
Baby Music Classes are $54 for a 6 week session.
Music and More Classes are $60 for a 7 week session. $50 for participating sibling. (Fee includes all craft supplies.)
*Fees will be pro-rated for students joining a class mid-session.
